I'd like to get it running as is first. Then I have a 71 4x4 Id like to disassemble and stretch the frame between the back of the cab and the bed and put the cc body onto the 71 frame making it a longbed cc 4x4 with a 390 and 4-speed.......That process will probabaly take me some time. but im hopef...

Just an update. I havent been able to do much to the truck. its still sitting in the barn. I did take apart a nice 72 stand cab truck and pulled the complete wiring harness out of it so Im thinking for my birthday im going to take a couple days off and pull the crew out of the barn to the shop and p...

Yeah I bought one for my standard cab pickup....I was not impressed. there was ALOT of cutting involved. I let mine sit in the sun for a fternoon before trying to install and it helped but to no prevail, overall I dont know if id buy another one to be honest.

I work on newer econolines. but 86 thats going to be a 351w or a 460 im assuming? Theres all kinds of tricks we do with the modular engines but can you get a spark plug socket on it at least? and if you can, is it one of those sockets with the 7/8 head on it you can get a wrench onto? creativity, us...

Im suprised no one put a answer to this. Your going to want the biggest condenser you can get. a dual pass would be good other wise yes use the dodge one if its larger. You would be better off going to r134a. Its cheaper and easier to get/ Ive converted a few 80's chevy trucks from r12 to 134a and t...

1972 crew cab project.

Hey guys, New to the site but starting my build thread. I found this truck here locally in Santa Cruz Ca. The gentlemen I purchased it from has owned the truck since 1975. Its a 72 crew cab special longbed. it had factory a/c xlt doorpanels. cargo light and other options. its cirrently a 2wd,390,c6....
