Nice!

Nothing like going to the powder coater and picking up your freshly covered stuff. Sure looks purty.

I did a lot of work this weekend on the crew. I even had help from JT (son) and Dave (wolfee).

What I did this weekend.

1. Finished the tie rod/steering box install.

2. Ran and secured the return fuel line.

3. Tried to flare stainless steel brake line and broke the flare tool (need one made for stainless steel :x) .

No pic for this mistake can't do it.. lol

4. Put the cab back on the frame and that was no easy task.

5. Scuffed the inside and dash. Scuffed the fire wall and cowl area.

6. Sprayed regular primer (inside area's) so I can sand it all smooth.

Updated post with new pictures and also updated crew web site (frame page) with new pics.. http://purpleflyingmonkey.com/crewcab/frame-engine/index.html

Wow! You've been hard at work! Looks great!

Can you share a little more info about that water blaster? I might actually be able to "get away with that" in my deed-restricted community... (It certainly makes it tough working on the truck under the watchful eye of the neighbors!)

Also, I've got to ask - what's up with what appears to be another crwcan lying on it's side next to yours in some of the photos? Or is it just a floor pan?

Keep up the great work & thanks for all the pics!!

The water blaster is a neat little thing I found one day. It hooks up to your pressure washer. I know you can get them at northern tool and other places. To most people it looks like your just presure washing something and there's no dust. You can't really re use the sand but it works good. I use a 5 gal bucket with sand in it. After I'm done I just rinse the grass if I think I need too most of the time I let the rain rinse it. :D I bet your neighbors won't know what was truly going on.

I think you were also asking about the troino on it's side. That is one of my slow projects since I got the crew I havn't done to much to it. One day I will get it finished. It is a 71 torino formal roof that was grandpa's. Lots of metal work being done (all floor pans, cowl and tow boards just to name a few).

Great looking project there. Love that you got the kiddos involved (and love that little Tony Romo jersey!). You don't happen to live in north Texas do you?

Quick update. Today turned out to be a great day I swear it hit almost 80 today. So I sprayed some color and tomorrow I will spray some clear... Just the fire wall but still this is good progress.

Before shot with sealer on fire wall.

After shot with the blue. The truck will be two tone blue and white. :D

Yes it does feel good. Can't wait to do more.

I actually cleared it last night. the SPI universal clear is the best clear I've ever used. Layed flat the first time.

Forgot all about the old post I made. Sorry about that!

I live just south of Ft Worth in Burleson. Keeping my eyes peeled for an old crew, so if you see one give me a shout.

Your crew looks awesome! Keep up the great work.
