Anyone want to see a build thread, right now it's not real exciting, body work is almost done and I'm starting block sanding. Color choice has been made, body mods mostly done. I'm hoping for advice and suggestions. If so,where should I post it?

Well, this looks like a good spot.

Now all you have to do is post a ton of pics with captions. :D Don't spare any details!

Cab looks good. I REALLY like those door handles. MY kids would live those. They have a bugger of a time lifting the old style handles... guess they're still too short.
Did you just cut / replace the sheet metal surrounding the handle with that off the van? (I assume the handles are from an Econoline) Do you have some pics of how you did it?

Thanks, yes the handles are off an econoline, they activate the latch the same way as the pickup handles. When I was a kid, my dad had/still has, the brown 79 flat bed, I hated those handles. If you are short, you have to use your thumbs to lift the handles, if thumbs slip off.....ouch.

It was really pretty easy, getting the junkyard guy to let you cut up four ecoline doors isn't so easy.

Only prob is door locks.
Attachment:
File comment: As you can see, the door lock gets covered by the handle, Im considering going keyless. Only prob is what happens if the battery dies? In case the batt dies, I was thinking of a hot lead in the trailer plug, apply 12, or hopefully 9 volt batt and presto, door lock pops. Or I could put in ecoline locks, they mount very low on the door, dont like them. Havent figured it out completely yet, suggestions?

Thanks for posting those last few pics... I may have to look into doing this someday. I didn't notice the key locks were missing till you pointed it out.
Just install keyless entry and pray it never fails!

Unfortunately not, only in the 3500's, but it is still a LS 70, better than a 60 and both the dodge and the CC are 4:10's. The gearing thing is a nice bonus. :D
