Picked up the engine today. Still going to need some parts and assembly, but we're going to wait until we're closer to installation for that. As most of you know, there isn't much room to work with under the hood of these early Broncos. Got to make sure everything fits!

Looks pretty good even in the back of the pickup, will look even better once it's installed!

Yeah, those engine bays are a bit tight for sure. I helped a buddy of mine put a 4bt in one, turned out real nice and he drove the crap out of that for quite a few years but it was tight. Used a hydroboost off an Astro van which worked out nicely, fit pretty well.

It was pretty cool cruising at 65-70, AC on getting 27mpg! The hydroboost sure helped the brakes. It didn't stop well with the 33's, but just the hydroboost made it fairly decent, confident enough to drive it anywhere at least. I almost bought it when he decided to swap to something a little newer, but I ended up finding the dumptruck about the same time so the old Bronco got away.

They weren't exactly cheap back then, but you're right, the price has really gone up. And weirdly, the introduction of the "new" Bronco seems to have renewed the interest in the EB's. I love them, owned a bunch of them, never had one that was road worthy LoL.

Somehow we missed the kit for the body mounts. I just ordered them today. It says they'll be here the day after Thanksgiving, but I doubt it.
So once they arrive it will be body building time.

Don't you love UPS? 2 day air somehow turns into 5 days and ground is anytime between now and next year.
