Can Anyone Identify this Frame?

Postby IndianaBoy » Tue Jan 23, 2018 7:25 am

I am stumped on this one. Unfortunately these are the only pictures I have and I have not seen it in person.

It looks to be older than 1980 (narrow).

It does not seem to have a boxed frame in the front like a 4x4

It does not seem to have a 2WD crossmemeber for twin I beam. It looks more like a 4x4 crossmember.

It has narrow leaf springs like a highboy (although this is definitely not a highboy frame)

It has short leaf spring hangers.

My best guess is Pre 1973 Crew Cab Short Bed 4x4.

Can Anyone Confirm?

Good-day.

My first post... Long time lurker.

Why do you say it's not a Highboy frame? Looks like a Highboy Crew frame to me.. Just missing a few things, and that loose cross member is from a 2wd. What does the VIN say, or has it been ground down? Should be in two places on the top passenger side frame rail. Once ahead of the front cab mount, once behind.

I'm curious too..
What's the height at it's tallest section?

Welcome to the OFCC Joseph.
Sounds like you have some knowledge about these things.

I bet it is a crew cab short bed 4x4 f-150. Rare, But I think they made them? I am selling the frame now. What would you say it is valued at?

no such thing as F150 crew cab in dent side or bump side.

looks like a 2wd frame.

What is the total length? And is that weird looking crossmember in the front actually riveted in? Looks loose. It doesn't quite look like a 2wd crossmember.
