DONT USE IE 9

Postby Crackpot » Wed Dec 26, 2012 8:50 pm

all,

I have seen an issue with IE 9 and I am sure it is in other versions where it forgets you have logged into the forums and kicks you out to the login screen. OVER AND OVER.

Please use Firefox or Chrome if you see this issue. I am going to be adding a script that checks for IE9 and pops up a page that recommends one of these two alternatives. I never saw it when using my linux box, but it has been bugging me all weekend.

No worry's, it wont block the browser. I have IE 10 beta here at work and its having funky issues too. I will have to see what its going to take to at least get it so the page dosent go black when you click on a text box.

One of the last upgrades started the black screen issue. I don't get it in Chrome or Firefox. I will see if I can figure out where its coming from.

Ok I found the issue. Its the way IE and Javascript work with a script called "scriptaculous.js?load=effects,builder".. What a name. I have commented out the code until I figure out a way to just get rid of the black screen part.
