Do you think this is bad....

I've been kinda quite here, boating season is approaching and it was time for the annual inspection of my engine. This is what I found, all I can say is YIKES !!! Bearings all looked good, so did the crank. I got real lucky....guess it's time for the A-460 block !!! This is the #2 main.....

Holy Cow Chris! That could (should) have been TERRIBLE. Grenading a lower end in a boat can really "sink" your pride :lol: ! Time for a 460 block...I agree. In Puyallup, on Fruitland Ave and 86th is Ford Powertrain Applications (FPA). Stan Johnson is the owner/machinist. He'd be a great one to talk to about reinforced blocks. If I'm down that way I'll get the phone # &/or address.

Yes....... That is bad. :D

I bet that would have made one helluva racket if it would have happened at full tilt.
