Re: Carlisle Truck Nationals. Carlisle PA
I went a couple years ago for the first time and was pretty disappointed.
I had really high expectations.
I have been going to the All-Ford show for 15 yrs and it is actually better all around for Ford truck parts and probably even Ford trucks for sale.
Granted, the car show is all trucks so it's wins there.
All that to say, it's all relative. WHile it didn't hit my expecatations, it's still probably the best all truck show/swap meet on the East coast. It's just that the all-Ford show is that impressive.

The all Ford show is spectacular. That's the one I go to. The truck show I will hit once every few years. It has thinned out a lot in the last decade.

Ya I am sorry I didn't go to it years ago. I bet it was better.
All the local swap meets are closing up shop.
I remember going to Columbus All Ford show 20 yrs ago and it was awesome.
Now it is a fraction of that.
I will be at the Carlisle all Ford show in about 6 weeks. Looking forward to it.

I did enter the bloomsburg show once, and attended it the year before that, about 20 years ago and it was a lot of fun, can't compare it to others though...
...And what is this "all fords" show you guys speak of? Is it cars and trucks?
I am Mouguluc. Why? Because I can't figure out how to change it.

I need to do the bloomsburg show now that I have rear belts in the truck for the kiddies.

Yes swap meets are changing for sure. I remember when the big Mustang parts places used to bring tractor trailers full of "new" parts for your restoration needs. CJ Pony Parts, Mustangs Unlimited, Auto Krafters, etc. Now they all come and set up a small table with a few flyers on it. They just promote the business at these shows and you have to buy the parts online.
I heard Columbus was a great show. I had friends that went and always asked me to go along. I never did but should have.
