Headlight adjusting screw

Postby acrozier » Wed Mar 01, 2017 5:31 pm

Been absent for awhile. Lot of other obligations. Looking for a source to buy plastic retainer for headlight adjustment screw for a 75 f250. LMC doesn't have them and not listed on Dennis Carpenter's sight. Anybody know if late 60s or late 70s is the same?

Your signature does not list location, but if you go to any autobody Jobber, they should have cabinets with a vast assortment of automotive fasteners, bring a sample along!

And in all likelyhood, the stock @ the jobbers came from one of these companies....

i remember that Dorman/Motormight makes a lot of that stuff in their "Help!" product line. According to their catalogue it is part number 42171. I'm on lunchbreak at work so I can't run out to my truck to see if it looks right so I will leave that up to you. If no one in your area carries that anymore Napa has a cross reference for it and shows it as available. https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/NDP6651675?interchange=1 I hope that helps.

Thanks everyone. I ended up buying dorman part #s 42117 and 42187. Someone had replaced them on my truck with 2 different style. 1 like the black ones in kit 42187 and 1 like 42117. The ones in 42117 ending up working best. Figures, it's a universal part. Hope this might help someone in the future.
