Rear footwell trim

the rear footwell trim wraps around the front and goes back pretty far towards the rear of the footwell.

Most crew cabs I've seen, appear to only have a front trim piece that wraps around the front and stops at the front edge of the rear seat, about where the arrow is in the picture.

In the pile of parts that came with my current crew cab I do have a second trim piece that starts close to the rear most screw hole on the smaller trim piece for the drivers side. The second trim piece seems to be overlapped by the smaller trim piece and runs almost the entire length of the inner footwell and wraps around the rear of the footwell. However, when I look under the truck there are no screw holes for the longer trim piece that would wrap around the rear of the footwell. Anyone know what determined the type of rear footwell trim that came on a crew cab?

My best guess is Custom trim level only got the front piece and Lariat trim level got a full wrap around as either one or two pieces.

I don't know. Mine had it. It was a 1978 Custom with vinyl floors. I installed carpet at one point and took a photo.

Interesting!

Thanks for the picture and thoughts gentlemen.

The longer piece I have is also cut at an angle on the end of the longer side, so I guess it's not supposed to overlap with the shorter piece but would be used instead of a shorter piece. I don't think it originally came with my truck. I only have one and its holes did not line up with any of the holes in the floor on my truck.

The presence or lack there-of of holes in the floor pan on my current truck is all I have to go off right now.

The pic that OJ provided is exactly what I had in all my crews. I've never seen anything different.
