Well, as you may have seen, I am no longer a poser. http://www.oldfordcrewcabs.com/phpBB3/v ... 666#p38666
No longer do I need to come with my not-old-enough crew cab to the OFCC party. I now own a bonafide "old" ford crew cab once again and I am pumped!
So here begins the saga of my second old FORD crew cab, hereby known as The Rolling Turd 2.0
I have been after this truck for years. It was owned by a local farmer and it was his daily driver. I would stop in from time to time to visit with him and I would always tell him that when he got ready to sell the old crew cab, I was his man.
Well, turned out he was sick and one day I stopped by his place and no one was there. A few months later the entire place was fenced off and everything was moved to another section of the farm. I found out that the owner had passed away. He left everything to a son or a nephew, no one knew for sure.
So, for a few years the Old crew cab sat in the field. I would make attempts to figure out who owned it, always leading to dead ends. Member Kyle has even mentioned it in the past http://www.oldfordcrewcabs.com/phpBB3/v ... =60&t=6504
But about three weeks ago, I got a lead that ended up taking me right to the owner himself. We arranged to meet at the property and after some inspecting and discussing I ended up with three F-250's
A 1975 F-250 2wd long bed
A 1973 F-250 2wd parts truck with a decent cab and flatbed
And, the best part of all, the 1973 F-250 crew cab.
I drove the brown truck home on Saturday and will be doing the same with the crew cab this week (my wife is thrilled) So my life has gotten more exciting and I'm looking forward to sharing it with you all.
