Tadd from Montana. Finally found a solid body 73-79 crew cab! I've been looking for several years and have been a little too late on a number of occasions until now. Oddly enough I found the truck within 20 miles of home! I've tried to buy as far away as Florida. Guess it was meant to be.

Been changing all the gaskets/seals/pans/ etc. to ensure I have a solid running, well-maintained truck for now. Already have a new transmission and a decent lead on a rebuilt 12v cummins. Looking to do full restoration in the next couple of years. I thought I'd be much further along by now but I'm loving driving the truck so much I don't want to break it down just yet. Will update on progress along the way.

Welcome aboard Tadd! That is a nice looking truck you have there! I'd love to see more photos of it.
I just purchased a 73 as well. It was also only a few miles away from where I live. Isn't it funny how that works out sometimes?

Pretty clean looking truck! I'd be real tempted to build a 445 or 482 out of that 390 for it. Sometimes the right one just finds you. That's how I ended up with my 77 CrewCab and both my 73's.
